Integration with AWS offers Verified Access

Jamf and AWS announce an integration with AWS Verified Access that will help IT admins ensure trusted devices access corporate applications hosted on AWS.

AWS Verified Access: built by Jamf

Enterprise work environments have undergone dramatic change in a year that has seen more digital transformation than any in recent memory. To help IT admins more effectively manage access to corporate applications in a distributed work environment, Jamf and AWS are excited to announce an integration with AWS Verified Access built by Jamf that will help IT admins ensure trusted devices access corporate applications hosted on AWS.

With AWS Verified Access, customers can now ensure that only trusted users from managed Apple devices using approved web browsers are accessing applications hosted on AWS. As the majority of businesses with cloud services use AWS to build their businesses and products, this improves the security posture for nearly every Apple-based business.

The Jamf Trust app

This new AWS integration from Jamf leverages the already-existing Jamf Trust: an intuitive app that provides unified cloud security and connectivity for remote workers. Jamf Trust gives users access to powerful security capabilities such as Jamf Threat Defense, Jamf Safe Internet, Jamf Data Policy, and Jamf Private Access without impacting performance or productivity.

The app retrieves client device information and shares it with AWS Verified Access through a browser extension in supported browsers. Devices and users must meet customer-defined policies or criteria before accessing these resources.

Better together

Our continuing investment in AWS integrations means Jamf can continue to offer cloud, device and network security tools to help customers manage and secure Apple at work. AWS Verified Access comes right on the heels of our September 22, 2022, announcement about our Amazon EC2 Mac instances. EC2 allows customers to run on-demand macOS workloads in the cloud, giving Jamf customers access to the depth and breadth of AWS’s offerings.

Expect even more innovation following our October 20 announcement of Jamf’s acceptance into the Amazon Web Services Accelerate Program.
