Planning for the Unknown: Managing the JSS, JDS, and Sites

Casper Suite 9 brought some 140 new features with it, most of which were community driven requests or suggestions. The JAMF Distribution Server (JDS) and sites are just two examples of the new tools available to administrators. For admins juggling onboarding, devices scattered across the globe, and infrastructure issues, this was a very, very helpful hour.

Andrew Seago, Mac systems administrator and support aficionado, explored the Casper Suite tools available to administrators looking to support their users on a similar scale. We explored JSS clustering, the granularity and scripting options in the JDS, and the admin privilege control available with sites.
