Computer-Specific Network Settings

At imaging time, you may want to configure a target computer with a network configuration that's different than the one built into your OS package. To do this, you must take two additional steps to ensure that the network configuration is set:

  1. Build a package that contains only the following file and install it as part of the imaging process /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist This file should be obtained from a computer with the desired network configuration type.
  2. Configure the Network settings in Casper Imaging with the desired network configuration.

Additional Information

For information on installing packages and configuring network settings as part of the imaging process, see "Customizing the Imaging Process" in the Casper Suite Administrator's Guide.
