Information Required to Configure a Cloud Distribution Point in Jamf Pro

Overview

You may choose to integrate Jamf Pro with a content delivery network (CDN). This article provides an overview of the information that must be obtained from your cloud services provider to configure the cloud distribution point in Jamf Pro.

Vendor: Akamai
Website: http://www.akamai.com/html/solutions/cloud-networking-solutions.html
Services: NetStorage or EdgeSuite
Account requirements (values will be provided by the vendor):

  • Username
  • Password
  • Upload URL
  • Directory
  • Download URL

In addition, if you are using the Akamai Remote Authentication security feature, your Akamai service must to be configured with a URL similar to the following to communicate with Jamf Pro:
https://jss.yourcompany.com:8443/akamairemote/verify/

Vendor: Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Website: https://aws.amazon.com
Service: Amazon S3 or Amazon CloudFront
Account requirements (values will be provided by the vendor):

  • Access Key ID
  • Secret Access Key
  • Private Key from the CloudFront key pair (only required when using the signed URLs security feature available with CloudFront) For more information about using signed URLs, see the following documentation: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudFront/latest/DeveloperGuide/private-content-signed-urls.html

Vendor: Rackspace
Website: http://www.rackspace.com/cloud/files/
Service: Cloud Files

  • API Key

Can this article be updated to include the permissions required for the IAM user for Amazon Web Services? This doesn't seem to be documented anywhere.

I believe that you need the full admin privileges for S3

Does anyone know if/when JAMF will implement support for Azure as a Cloud Distribution Point host?
We have ExpressRoute setup in our organization, and use Azure for a lot of different things.
