Book Creator app crashes

Symptoms: Student attempts to open up app, launches to blank screen. Will either remain unresponsive or automatically quit. Issue persists after app restart or device restart. Attempting to update through iTunes or Self Service continuously unsuccessful. Hitting "update" button will activate for a second, yet remain on "update." Version listed on iTunes will show 4.2. However in Settings ->Book Creator version says 4.1.

I spoke with Book Creator support, and they have said that some schools deducted that it was a Casper issue. However no details have been supplied from Support or from those schools.

We are getting stacked with iPads with this issue, with our only solution for the app & keeping data is a backup & restore.

You're installing the app from the JSS? Using VPP (either user or device based)? Is the update app option checked?

Re-installs via Self Service and App Store intermittently successful, but shows as the previous version, and thinks it's the current. Deleting and installing app from Self Service and App Store similar symptoms

VPP device amongst ~520 iPads in use, with 50+ available devices unused.

Backing up, Wiping device and Restoring backup still has been successful, but very time consuming .
