Packages Installed By Casper name

I apologize for what seems to be a simple question - Is the Casper receipt that gets reported back to the JSS (Packages Installed By Casper) based simply on the package file name? So the Casper receipt will basically match the name of the *.pkg?

Yes, Casper Suite uses the physical name of the package as its package receipt. This is different than what the built in OS X installer uses. If you look at the Installer.app/SWU tab those are all in the standard reverse URL style bundle identifier format, assuming the package contained that of course. Packages built in Composer may not have a proper bundle identifier, but its possible to set one if you turn down the arrow and click on the Info.plist file. There's a field in there for setting a Bundle Identifier. By default it will be the file name without spaces or with special characters removed.
