Self-Service No Longer Downloads or Installs after 10.12 upgrade.

I have a test device that was originally 10.11 and nothing more was done to it other than the currently company Jamf policies. Everything appears to work but when attempting to install or download from Self-Service I receive "Self-Service has encountered a problem".

Strange as I have been able to download and install items from Self Service on 10.12. I did a fresh install and not an update

Not applicable

We have to do the upgrade route for end users. Can not do fresh install.

If you run a:

sudo jamf manage

and restart Self Service...

Does it let you install then?

What version of the JSS are you running?

Never mind, I see in the URL that you're on 9.96.

Hi all, I ended up restarting it a few times and it finally started working again. Not sure what caused the issue. I had nothing else running on the device. Can any one decode the log? I would like to fix the issue if it is going to happen on all deployment devices.

Out of curiosity on a machine exhibiting this issue... what are the permissions of:

/usr/local/jamf
/usr/local/jamf/bin
/usr/local/jamf/bin/jamf

Not applicable

    wheel - Read only
    Everyone - Read only

  2. Same as above.

  3. System - Read only

    Everyone - No access
