Netboot (AutoCasperNBI) loses root privileges after a certain amount of time.

Just wondering if anyone has seen anything similar to this.
basically if we have a configuration larger than a certain size it loses root privileges (even though it is logged in as root) part way through the image. This only occurs when netbooted not when you use a USB restored DMG, smaller images are fine, I am going to try and work around the problem by compiling the larger images as the speed increase should resolve the issue, was just curious if anyone had any ideas or similar issues.

How long to complete the image when using Netbook? We can complete 1 machine in less than 5 minutes and complete a lab in 1 hour

Some of our images are 100 GB+ and some of our network connections are 100 Mb so it can take quite some time...
Because we are also going over machines that have been previously used with a new configuration we are wiping completely.
Time usually varies from 20 minutes to 40 minutes depending on image size and location, generally we only have the issue when process starts to get up near 40 minutes.
Not that it should matter a session logged in as root shouldn't be losing the privileges required to install a package...
