For our ML rollout, mostly to MacPro's, we were thinking about using Target Disk Imaging. The plan is to get a few new drives and image them in a FW cradle on an imaging station. Then we'd bring the new drive down to the MacPro, copy over the user folder, pull the old drive, and repeat the process.
I'm wondering how that will affect the existing computer records in the JSS? Will there be three records for one computer -- one for the old computer, one for the TDI drive and then a new one for the drive in the old computer?
Is there a way to make sure Recon updates the existing computer record?
