Hardware Raid and Pre-Stage

I am being tasked to build a disaster recovery workflow. What is the best way to set up a hardware raid on Mac Pro based OSX server using prestage?

I want to be able to take a mac pro server with an Apple Hardware raid card installed out of the box, configure the array then install an image on a partition using prestage.

I imagine that you would be able to script the setup of the array (several scripts already on apples user forums). Set the script as "before" and run it like everything else in the pre-stage. The again, I've never done it that way.

P.S. as a matter of policy I also run screaming from Apple RAID cards when there are so much better options out there for the price.

Thanks Chris, they are not my first choice either. I am deploying these servers in markets such as Argentina, which has strict limits on what I can import in. An example of this is Tolis's Bru, they were able to sell me the software but not the HP Tape Library. I had to order it directly from HP.
