@zach \- well, that's interesting. Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't taken very close notice of how that last character in the URL changes depending on the mode you're in. It actually reminded me that I've been meaning to put up a separate FR for a while now. but haven't gotten to it.
With JSS 9.x now seeming to have extra clicks to get things done in many areas, I would love a way to set as a personal preference just for my account, a way that I can go straight into an Edit mode when I click on object, assuming of course I have the privileges to edit that item. Right now, every time I enter an object, I first need to click the Edit button before I can make any changes. I completely understand why it works this way, and the change accommodates the new Auditor model that v9 now gives us. I also understand the inherent risk of going straight into an edit mode on anything, and some JSS users may feel more comfortable with how it currently works. But as an advanced JSS user, I would love to reduce the number of clicks I need to do to get my work done. And again, I would ask that this be a user selectable preference that is not ON by default.
I just took a look and noticed that the last section of a URL in edit mode changes from o=r to o=u. I assume the "r" means read only mode and the "u" means update. If we can be given some way to always go into that "u" mode without needing to click that Edit button it would be great.
All that said, I will get this into an official FR so it can be voted and commented on.
