App update in waves

Hi My school district has close to 700 devices that need to be updated and the daily update tanks out our network for close to 15 minutes a day as we only have a 350 megabit network. I would like the ability to send out updates by device as opposed to by app in order to lower the bandwidth usage of the updates.

Depending on the devices used and what software is updated you could benefit from a Mac running the sharing cache service.

This used to be a feature of the Server for macOS, however now is native to the OS.
