We have an opening for a 1st/2nd level support engineer, and we utilize our JSS heavily in our environment so I thought this would be a great place to look for anyone interested.

Job Description

We need your help to support and build a global infrastructure that's both resilient and state-of-the-art. We utilize the latest enterprise software applications and solid best practices to develop, support, and maintain an end-user computing experience that includes various operating systems as well as printing and networking hardware.
In this role we'll need you will research simple and complicated situations, figure out how to fix them, and document your findings and solutions. You'll also serve as a primary technical support contact for the business and act as our liaison to vendors. A positive attitude, strong customer-focus, and an ability to gather, discuss and interpret an employee or department's needs are keys to success.


  • You'll provide desk-side and remote technical assistance, sometimes after regular business hours, via email, ticketing software, in person, or over the phone
  • You'll create, update, and resolve issues using our issue tracking system and create/update our wiki and other documentation
  • You'll gather quotes, purchase, and maintain inventory and licensing of software and hardware, lease agreements, service contracts, and vendor support agreements
  • You'll install, configure, and support Mac/Windows desktops, laptops, virtual workstations, servers, applications, VoIP phones, printers, scanners, and conferencing A/V equipment
  • You'll help set up and maintain our network while configuring TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP etc. and implement basic security concepts, firewalls (hardware/software), antivirus, and malware prevention/removal
  • You'll adhere to, monitor and implement IT policies and procedures as while maintaining confidentiality and securing operational data
  • We sometimes work evenings, weekends, or outside of normal business hours; moderate lifting may be required


  • You've worked at least a year in desktop/server support and have a Bachelor’s degree in CS (or equivalent experience)
  • You're organized, can communicate well, and love providing awesome customer service
  • You're constantly assessing, prioritizing and solving problems
  • You're comfortable with installing, configuring, and fixing supported products as well as network hardware administration (LAN/WAN)
  • You've solved problems with Active Directory (AD), TCP/IP networks, and common PC/Mac applications
  • You've supported current hardware platforms, mobile devices, and printers and consider yourself highly knowledgable of Mac OS X, Windows, iOS and Microsoft Office to the table
  • You've studied and used Information Systems security principles
  • You've used Help Desk Issue Tracking Systems to assign, delegate, and/or resolve end-user issues
  • Bonus points if you have experience with email management (Gmail), are familiar with JAMF Casper Suite, Sophos Firewalls, VMware/AWS, and Linux (we use Redhat/Centos)
