As an Apple Professional Services Engineer, you will advise Enterprise and Government customers on Apple hardware and software best practices. You are an OS X / iOS IT Professional Services consultant with a minimum of 5 years of OS X experience who will work with various Enterprise customers, third parties and multiple teams inside Apple.
This role requires interaction with Enterprise customers, third parties and other teams at Apple. In addition to your technical skills, you will: - Advise Enterprise/Government customers on Apple hardware and software best practices - Work with non-tech savvy users and interact with help desk support if required - Work dedicatedly on various projects - Demonstrate exceptional project/time management skills, including logging your time, processing project documentation and writing status updates - Generate well-written technical documentation (i.e. deployment documents, white papers, etc) - Conduct periodic training sessions. You have the willingness to work in a team across various IT environments and divisions as well as the ability, desire and motivation to learn - Be comfortable with occasional public speaking in front of groups of 5 to 20 people - Able to travel up to 50% of the time
10+ years of experience diagnosing and solving problems in a macOS / Unix / environment and integration with Microsoft Windows 7/10, Active Directory and Exchange environments
4+ years of experience configuring iOS and managing with MDM
macOS 10.11 Apple certifications (101/201) or proof of equivalent skills and ability to rapidly obtain the certifications
Production experience with Apple Security (i.e how to "lock down" Mac/iOS environments)
Expert level knowledge of the UNIX shell and macOS specific shell commands
Advanced knowledge of at least one scripting language
Understanding of Apple's tools and client management tools such as Apple Profile Manager, 3rd party MDM solutions and Apple Configurator 2
JAMF CCA/CCE certification is highly desirable
Understanding of complex, very large MSFT AD / PKI environments and how to integrate Macs with large AD forests
