Network Specialist: White Plains and North Rockland school districts
Our client is looking for a Network Specialist to join their field teams in White Plains 3 days a week and North Rockland 2 days a week. The network specialist will be one of the points of escalation for the field team and will be responsible for working out of the ServiceNow ticketing system to help prioritize and resolve issues within the school districts.
The White Plains School District is a strictly Apple/Mac district where the student to device ratio is 1 to 1. There are about 8000 students and a total of 11 buildings through the entire district. White Plains has recently implemented JAMF as their mobile device management platform for iPads to help streamline imaging and updates. The ideal candidate has had some exposure to JAMF and will be able to be trained up on the platform as well.
North Rockland is primarily a Dell/Windows environment. They are utilizing Chromebooks and Google Apps for Education (GAFE). This person should be familiar with Dell laptops and cart management.
In both districts, Active Directory is utilized heavily. This person will be responsible for adding/removing users, working with objects and OU's, as well as some group policy management.
There is VMware in the environment as well as a SAN that based virtually. This candidate should have the ability to troubleshoot issues within VM hosts, and guests as well as the SAN.
