Our client is looking for someone who's CCA and/or CCT certified and has a strong scripting skills (ideally Bash).

Job Description

Responsibilities
The Enterprise Device Management Mac Systems Administrator will be responsible for management and administration of JAMF, testing of new Mac models, software and OS patching, operating system upgrades, software distribution, group policy objects, and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).

Employee:
• Prepares self-reviews annually
• Completes all required compliance training
• Tracks hours worked, charges time to project codes appropriately
• Responsible for learning and mastering system administration duties including, but not limited to, installation, monitoring, backup and recovery and tuning
• Learns environment – technical and business, through initiative and direction from senior staff
• Potential technical lead, interfacing with system administrators, technical managers and architects
• Demonstrates leadership through technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, business knowledge, organizational skills and professionalism

Operations:
• Continues the drive for automation in the organization
• Works with vendors for service delivery and support issues
• Performs, plans, and implements proactive maintenance measures and upgrades to ensure continued system availability
• Works effectively with team of System Administrators to maintain uptime, consistency, scalability and performance while meeting business needs
• Works tickets in team queue in ServiceNow ensuring ticket completion in a timely manner (BAU tasks)
• Completes assigned tasks in timely manner following best practices
• Develops and maintains process documentation, ie. Windows and Mac patching process documentation
Projects:
• Supports projects with software deployments, updates, use of self service, scripting, troubleshooting, and more
• Submits Change Requests in ServiceNow, follows change process
• Coordinates system changes with other IT Ops groups, and the business via CAB meetings as needed

Relationships:
• Must understand the EDM team's part in project and support work flow processes
• Works closely other IT groups such as NOC, IT Security, Data Networking, Windows, data center, and change management
• Able to communicate complex terminology in simple understandable ways to other IT management, employees, and non-technical business people
• Maintains a positive, can-do attitude toward work, the employees, and the company
• Must be able to accept mistakes, learn from them, implement measures to prevent them in the future, and move on

Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Skills and Qualifications
• JAMF CCT, CCA, and CCE preferred
• Scripting abilities using BASH or Python, in conjunction with JAMF
• Possess a strong commitment to a positive end user experience
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Employs creative approaches to solving business problems with appropriate technologies
