This jobs primary role is managing and maintaining the internal Mac fleet at Amazon primarily utilizing but not limited to the Jamf MDM platform. We are seeking individuals with a strong sense of ownership and vision to the future on the mac platform. Additionally, individuals with experience in transitioning from AD to non AD bound environments, DEP, and automation of client tasks are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

The Client Engineering team builds complex multi-platform solutions that help Amazonians get more done. We are recruiting qualified Systems Engineers to operate our existing fleets, analyze and tune hardware/software configurations, automate existing manual processes, and identify improvements to our existing tools. This exciting and high impact role will involve working with a wide range of other technical and business groups within Amazon.


· Administer and deploy 1st and 3rd party patches to the internal client fleet
· Develop solutions for internal customer facing issues
· Develop and baseline OS configurations to ensure a secure platform without compromising usability
· Maintain internal knowledge base articles · Maintain internally hosted Jamf infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services


Basic Qualifications

· 1+ years of experience with client systems administration/engineering
· Strong experience with macOS operating systems
· Experience with configuration management tools such as Jamf, Chef, or Puppet
· Proficiency in scripting/programming with Python and bash·

Preferred Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience with client systems administration/engineering
· Excellent communication, prioritization, and analytical skills
· Strong desire to build, sense of ownership, and customer focus
· Proficiency in a programming language (e.g. Swift, Objective-C)
· Internet and operating system security fundamentals
· Experience with other Operating Systems such as Ubuntu 16.04+ or Windows 10+
· Experience administering or developing databases
· Experience with Amazon Web Services
