The Manager of Client Support Services provides leadership for client resource management in the district and is responsible for developing, communicating and monitoring services, resources, policies and procedures to ensure that all client devices are secure, accessible and reliable. The Manager of Client Support Services will develop, design and implement client support solutions that utilize existing resources to deliver appropriate and necessary technology access

Job Description


  1. Oversee assigned operations to achieve goals and objectives within budgeted funds and personnel; plan and organize project schedules, goals and objectives; direct changes in priorities, schedules, and staff to assure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner with a commitment to customer service.

  2. Provide planning, leadership, and direction for assigned staff. Set work priorities, train, motivate, and evaluate the work of assigned staff. Evaluate workload, assignments, professional development needs, and progress toward goals. Facilitate resolution of complex interpersonal issues among staff.

  3. Oversees the design, implements, and maintain Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) infrastructure systems.


  1. Recommend specific hardware and software components in support of MDM infrastructure and network solutions.

  2. Analyze and design various physical network designs, including device management and service restoration components. Conducts cost-benefit, reliability, and performance analysis of various design alternatives.

  3. Oversee the response to MDM, mobile apps, and mobile device problems in a timely manner and sees through to successful problem resolution.

  4. Assist with Internet services including e-mail (IMAP, POP, SMTP, list services, etc.), WWW, FTP, and streaming servers, caching and proxy servers, network security/firewalls/filtering, Domain Name Servers, etc.

  5. Coordinates with the Senior Systems Engineer for the management of the MDM servers including backups, security, supporting databases, utilization analysis, and updates.

  6. Assist with mobile Device Enrollment Program (DEP) or related areas.


Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or comparable industry certification preferred. Minimum of 3 years of industry/education experience in technical support role supporting MDM and customer service.
Minimum of 3 years of industry/education experience in technical support role supporting Jamf or related MDM.
Experience with design and implementation of Enterprise Mobile Device Management infrastructure.
Position requires a valid Washington State driver's license.
Apple and Jamf Certified preferred or commitment to obtain within six months of employment.
MCSE or CNE Certified preferred.

Allowable Substitutions

Additional qualifying experience may substitute for up to two years of educational requirements on a year-for-year basis. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
