I've disliked CrApple longer than you have been loving them. The first product of theirs I used was the IIe, the first Mac the MacPlus, the first mobile, the Newton. They are the anti-thesis of innovation, with their walled-garden of yesterday's technology today at the highest prices. They have the heftiest licensing fees in the industry, a thuggish legal team, with blatant lying engineering (esp that Schiller guy!) and marketing teams. Their negative impact on the world of photography won't be undone for years. They are a useless, flashy for-profit over-glorified TOY company. Stashing their all their money outside the U.S., their biggest cheerleaders are gullible fanboys, esp. so-called tech writers (who operate under the delusion that because CrApple made technology "easier to use" they are somehow democratizing it - ha ha!) which is all the luddites in the C-level can comprehend so they can seem "hip" doing so. Case in point - if CrApple disappeared tomorrow the only impact is people won't see cat videos (or pron) on their phones ; if Cisco disappeared tomorrow, the Internet would stop for everywhere but China (and whoever uses Juniper).
