Marketing Communications Specialist

Job Description

The Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day management and execution of Jamf’s internal and external communications strategies. Working closely with Jamf’s PR agency, this role will aim to amplify Jamf’s brand and support Jamf’s demand generation goals. Further, this role will work across departments to spearhead internal communications with a goal of fostering timely, consistent and transparent communications across Jamf’s employee base. This position will be part of the Marketing team and report to the Sr. Director, Marketing and Communications.

  • Strategy Development: Assist in defining Marketing/PR content topics and tactics
  • Media Relations: Execute Jamf’s PR strategy, facilitating positive coverage of Jamf among the media and market influencers
  • Writing: Create, edit and support a range of content types for both technical and non-technical audiences, including but not limited to news releases, blogs, case studies, social posts, etc.
  • Vendor Relations: Serve as primary day-to-day point of contact for Jamf’s PR agency, and provide task-level direction and coordination of media interviews and/or media responses on behalf of Jamf
  • Social Media: Assist with creating and executing an integrated social media communications strategy, including tactics for LinkedIn, Twitter and blogging
  • Internal Communications: Execute an internal communications strategy to ensure timely, consistent and open employee communications
  • Event Support: Assist in the coordination and execution of both employee and industry events


  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or a related degree
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in B2B marketing (enterprise software marketing experience preferred)
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with AP writing style
  • Knowledge of basic branding concepts
  • Experience with social media, including posting and monitoring tools, such as Hootsuite
  • Experience at a PR agency or working with a PR agency preferred
  • Positive, high-energy, team-focused attitude
  • Self-starter who can work cross functionally
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationship with employees, customers and media/industry influencers
  • Ability to initiate tasks and work independently with attention to detail
  • Organized with the ability to quickly shift gears as needed
  • Must be willing and able to travel occasionally. <15%
