Product Owner, Web

Job Description

As part of a global marketing team, in a rapidly growing software company, the Web Product Owner will be responsible for establishing, managing and driving the product backlog to guide the team building and help achieve our web and marketing objectives.

Success in this role requires the ability to translate the roadmap into a clear set of priorities and stories, a strong understanding of modern web technology and digital marketing techniques, and an ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with the web development, marketing, UX and product teams.

  • Lead and inspire a team of developers to deliver solutions that help achieve our website objectives and contribute to our overall marketing goals
  • Create and maintain the backlog by continuously defining, prioritizing and clarifying user stories based on the web roadmap and input from internal Jamf teams and the market/customers
  • Balance prioritization of new features that deliver most end-user impact with technical initiatives that improve internal efficiency and system quality, ensuring timely delivery
  • Lead and serve as approver of acceptance testing, validating successful delivery of features and initiatives against business objectives
  • Proactively communicate what is in and out of a product release to all team members, and serve as the “go to” person when questions arise
  • Maintain relationship and communicate regularly with all other teams making changes to related products and properties
  • Maintain current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attend ongoing educational programs)
  • Perform other duties as required and complete all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures

  • Relevant product management experience in the software industry with a demonstrated track record of delivering new and profitable products (Required)
  • Proven experience working with, leading, and motivating cross-functional and virtual teams (Required)
  • Experience in a customer-centric environment (Required)
  • Proven experience in taking on challenging problems and solving them (Required)
  • Experience with modern web technologies and best practices (Preferred)
  • Experience in an Agile development environment (Preferred)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical terms in an easy to understand, non-technical manner
