JAMF Software Achieves Record Seat Growth in 2015

Customers Rely on JAMF to Manage Over Five Million Apple Devices—Including Three Million Macs—Representing the Largest Apple Deployments Across the Globe

MINNEAPOLIS – Jan. 12, 2016JAMF Software, the leader in Apple device management, concluded 2015 with 35 percent growth in the number of devices managed by its software, 35 percent year-over-year billings growth, and more than 160 new employees. As a recent survey shows that Mac, iPad, and iPhone are being rapidly adopted by enterprise and educational organizations alike, JAMF Software strives to bring the legendary Apple experience to organizations, empowering employees, faculty, and students to be more creative, productive, and happier.

Company Milestones
More than 1,900 new global customers were added in 2015, representing a 45 percent growth. To support this growth, JAMF Software increased its employee count to more than 500, up from 340 in 2014, and plans to move its Minneapolis headquarters from 301 4th Ave S. to 100 Washington Square in Spring 2016. As part of its focus on product advancement, JAMF Software doubled the size of its engineering team and also opened a new technology center in Poland, bringing its office count to eight global locations.

In June, the company appointed software industry veteran Dean Hager as CEO to help manage JAMF Software’s overwhelming corporate growth and momentum. JAMF also expanded its executive team appointing Jay Dorenkamp as vice president of engineering, Dave Alampi as vice president of product management and marketing, and John Strosahl as vice president of global sales.

IBM Partnership
A new strategic partnership with IBM was announced in August to support the launch of IBM’s MobileFirst Managed Mobility Services, a program designed to help large enterprises incorporate Macs within their IT infrastructures.

JAMF Software’s Casper Suite is also helping drive the Mac@IBM initiative to deploy and manage Macs among IBM employees across the globe. As cited during Apple’s Q4 earnings call, each Mac deployed by IBM is saving the company $270 compared to a traditional PC, thanks to reduced support cost and better residual value.

Product Innovation
In January, JAMF Software introduced Bushel®, the only Apple device management solution designed from the ground up for small and medium sized-businesses to easily deploy, secure, and manage Macs, iPads, and iPhones. The cloud-based solution has seen rapid adoption, as more than 10,000 organizations now use Bushel to manage their Apple devices.

JAMF Software also made significant enhancements to the Casper Suite. Specifically, same-day Casper Suite support was released for iOS 9 and for OS X El Capitan, allowing IT administrators to seamlessly adopt and manage the latest technology from Apple. Additional new Casper Suite features included improved Volume Purchase Program (VPP) distribution for apps and content, and zero-touch deployment for the Device Enrollment Program (DEP).

Community Success
In October, JAMF Software held its sixth annual JAMF Nation User Conference (JNUC) drawing a record breaking 1,200 attendees from 20 countries. Additionally, the company offered a Roadshow series of free, one-day events on best practices in Apple device management in cities across the U.S., U.K., and Australia.

This year also marked the four-year anniversary of JAMF Nation, the largest and most loyal Apple IT community and the second anniversary of JAMF Nation Global Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to enriching the communities in which we work and live. In 2015, the JAMF Nation community grew by 48 percent, with nearly 28,000 members today. The JAMF Nation Global Foundation dedicated more than $230,000 and 2,000 plus employee volunteer hours to many organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest Heartland, Feed My People, Hour of Code, and Girls Who Code.
