JAMF Software and eSpark Partner to Transform Learning for K-12 Schools

Curated Apps are Automatically Distributed to Students Based on Unique Learning Needs

MINNEAPOLIS – March 1, 2016JAMF Software, the leader in Apple device management, today announced a partnership with eSpark, a provider of differentiated learning through curated, education-focused iPad apps. The move combines eSpark’s unique learning technology with advanced mobile device management capabilities from JAMF Software’s Casper Suite, allowing schools to automate app distribution based on the individualized learning needs of each and every student.

“Students love using the iPad because it is intuitive and user-friendly, and when you pair this with the App Store’s unmatched ecosystem of iOS apps, the possibilities for learning are endless,” said Dean Hager, CEO, JAMF Software. “Our partnership with eSpark is the first of its kind. By giving schools streamlined app management and deployment, they are able to package the best in transformative learning technology with the best apps to ultimately provide a personalized and differentiated learning experience.”

Differentiated Learning for Every Child, One App at a Time
The Casper Suite and eSpark deliver a 1:1 iPad experience. By enrolling iPads with the Casper Suite, expertly curated apps are automatically distributed without teacher or IT interaction to individual students based on assessment data. This allows districts to leverage existing test data to target the area of greatest need for each student. Students then progress through the interactive content, mastering concepts and creative challenges at their own individual pace. App licenses are easy to manage because apps are automatically installed, revoked, and reused wirelessly according to student needs, preserving IT time, device space, and app budgets.

"Many school districts recognize the potential of technology in the classroom, but the logistics of managing iPads and apps for every student can be incredibly overwhelming for school IT departments,” said David Vinca, CEO and Founder of eSpark. “With our Casper Suite integration, technology teams can now simplify iPad management and app distribution, making differentiation not only possible, but easy. We’re thrilled to partner with JAMF Software to help more districts leverage technology to meet the needs of every learner."

“When we decided to roll out a 1:1 iPad program, we begged for JAMF to manage the devices and help us distribute apps and a personalized education path or ‘quest’ from eSpark,” said Sheila Glenn, system administrator, Ridley School District. “With the Casper Suite and eSpark, we are able to measure student proficiency in various areas and prove that these technologies advanced student learning.”
