Student-Centered Learning in a Pandemic AND Ensuring a Secure Digital Space

In education we want a student-centered, anti-racist restorative environment for our learners AND we need to offer this in a multi-modal environment both in person and in an online space.

The pandemic has radically changed education; from creation, delivery, and consumption of content to the needs of our learners. At Hopkins, we also embarked on a journey to form a fully accredited online program, our VirtualEDU. While this radical transformation has been in progress, threats to the data E-12+ organizations hold have been increasing. Threats like ransomware can interrupt learning, and more advanced exfiltration of data can lead to even worse outcomes. In this session, we will explore the many changes Hopkins made to our delivery of services along with the bolstering of our security posture using tools like Jamf Pro, Jamf Protect, and Red Canary-managed MDR.
