"Authentication failed to "127.0.0.1:5901"

When I try to share screen with certain users in Casper Remote, I am presented with the error message:

"Authentication failed to "127.0.0.1:5901". Please verify you have entered the correct name and password."

I have already tried to edit the management account based on this KB article , and forced the problem Mac to check in again, but the behavior still occurs. Does anyone have any ideas? This is happening on seemingly random macs, in this case even on one I just recently enrolled.

Thanks,

-Mike

I had this once I believe it was due to a bad config for kickstart. If you have ARD, you can "Change Client Settings" which modifies your kickstart settings. See: external image link

Justin,

Thank you for the quick reply. What client settings should I look at within ARD that might be causing the problem?

It could be permissions or user accounts. Not really sure... just that using the Change Settings fixed the issue.

What about if I don't have ARD?
