The second beta build for our Spring 2016 Release of Casper Suite 9.9 is now available. We’ve been gearing up to offer zero-day support for Apple iOS 9.3, including innovative new features that will transform the classroom experience and the way all organizations manage mobile devices.

The second beta build of Casper Suite 9.9 introduces initial support for iOS 9.3, including new iOS configuration profile payloads and integrations with Apple’s Classroom App and Shared iPad for Education. The second beta build includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • New configuration profile payloads for iOS 9.3, which are expected to be available to customers after the release of iOS 9.3. If you participate in Apple’s Developer Program for iOS 9.3 beta 3, you may have access to test some of these new features. For more information on Apple’s Developer Program, go to https://developer.apple.com/ios/download. New Casper Suite 9.9 configuration profile payloads include:
    • Customizing home screen layouts to arrange screen and dock content on supervised devices.
    • Safari Password Autofill Domain capabilities allowing end users to save passwords only from approved URLs on supervised devices.
    • Restricting app usage to allow all iOS apps, only allow some iOS apps, or restrict some iOS apps on supervised devices.
    • Restricting access to notification settings to prevent end users from modifying their notification settings on supervised devices.
    • Customizing the log in and lock screen message on supervised devices.
  • Initial support for Apple iOS 9.3’s new education features, including Shared iPad and Apple Classroom App, which are expected to be available to education customers after the release of iOS 9.3.
  • Functionality from our first Casper Suite 9.9 beta build, including enhancements to the device enrollment process, admin account creation, deployment of content in the cloud, and several defect fixes.
