Email sent from DMZ vs Internal

Is there a way to easily distinguish whether an alert is being sent in via the Internal or external JSS?

I'd imagine inspecting the email headers would tell you. The "Received from" header tells me the host name and IP address of my JSS (I only have the one). You can set up an Outlook rule to flag either one as internal or external.

I can do that. But looking for someway in the message or some other field to have notices as I get text alerts to my phone when the service goes down but i have to go can check both my servers to find out which one went down. It would be great to be able to get the text message and quickly know if its the internal or external.

Settings -> System Settings -> SMTP Server
In there, the option for the "Sender Display Name". We use JSS PROD and JSS DEV for the same purpose your looking at.

When I change it on the internal it also changes it on our external.

Your load balanced using one DB, so the change is in the DB. This would be a good FR if one doesn't exist for it already.
