I have a lab of student machines that need to use Xcode 8 to build mobile apps. The school administration requires restrictions on the applications that students can use. Basically, anything in the Applications folder and nothing else. I am able to get Xcode running however, when a project is compiled, an error occurs indicating the user doesn't have permission to use the application "Random App".
I believe the issue is in how and where Xcode in compiling the apps. I have changed the DerivedData location to a folder that I created in the Applications folder, and Xcode is indeed placing the files there, but the complied apps are still being blocked. Any suggestions. I'm trying to avoid, if possible, setting up an unrestricted virtual environment. However, I fear that may be the only option.
