Job Description

As a Pre-Sales System Engineer you will support the SHI (UK) sales force in determining the appropriate Apple and Mobility solution for our customers. This position involves assessing customer needs through email, phone, and in-person customer facing meetings and engagements. Duties include but are not limited to providing pre-sales technical support, mobility solution design and development of deployment tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Expert on Apple’s partner vision, solutions, design and product features.
  • Lead the technical requirements for customer facing conference calls and on site meetings with SHI Sales Reps.
  • Advise customers on design scenarios; latest partner product offerings, upgrade paths, industry trends and best practices.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to familiarise the customers with the product(s) involved in the proposed solution.
  • Design Partner solutions and configure proposals around customer’s budget and environment restrictions.
  • Maintain currency with new technologies and innovations and recommend adoption of new technologies.
  • Participate in building out and delivering sales enablement for Partner solutions.
  • Support creation of sales collateral and tools as required by the business.
  • Assist with RFP responses as required.
  • Represent SHI at relevant Partner and Industry events.
  • Serve as trusted technology advisor and expert to clients and act as an internal resource on technical issues or specific business applications.
  • Provide regular technical training for sales and marketing team members on new products and solutions when required.
  • In-Depth knowledge and experience with Apple products and operating systems, experience in deploying and managing Apple devices at scale preferred.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to translate customer requirements into fit for purpose, cost effective solutions
  • Proficient on use case of Apple Business Manager, Device Enrollment Program (DEP), Volume Purchase Program (VPP), Apple Push Notification Service (APNS), Thin Provisioning, etc.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication with ability to interface with customers at various levels up to CxO
  • Excellent presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to self-study and work independently in a team environment coupled with a desire to mentor and share knowledge with others.

Qualifications

  • Jamf: Ideally hold 100, 200 and/or 300 certifications with a goal of achieving Jamf 300 status within 6 months if applicable. (Support for on-going training and development provided).
  • Apple: ACSP (macOS Support Essentials) Additional Apple Certifications considered a plus.
  • 4+ plus years’ experience in a customer facing IT sales, pre-sales or technical role. (Ideally in designing and delivery of Apple End User and Mobility solutions including and not limited to RFP’s, RFQ’s, and RFI’s.)

Considered a plus:
- Additional IT Industry recognised and Vendor qualifications.
- IT knowledge in the areas of enterprise messaging, collaboration, Wi-Fi, client management solutions, and enterprise security.
- IT Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows, Identity and Access Management, Active Directory & Group Policy, and Enterprise Mobility Suite / Intune is considered an asset.
- Experiencing in scoping technical requirements and development of statement of work documentation.
- Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques & methodologies.
