Lead Jamf Pro and Mac Administrator

As the lead Jamf Pro administrator, this position will focus on supporting all Apple devices for both GCC Main and GCC North community college campuses.

Job Description

As the lead Jamf Pro administrator, this position will focus on supporting all Apple devices for both GCC Main and GCC North community college campuses.

Working within the context of a district-wide community of practice, the need for consistency across all participating Maricopa Community College campuses is important. To ensure the consistent use of all Apple devices, this position will develop configuration policies, test and document findings, effectively communicate procedures, and actively train downstream support teams.

Continually monitoring Apple and Jamf communities, this position will also act in an R&D manner to improve Apple/MAC management for our Glendale campuses. Applying contemporary techniques, and finding innovative solutions is paramount.

Responsibilities

50% - Jamf Pro-administration (currently on-prem with an imminent move to Jamf Cloud). Concentrating on system development, integration, image creation/deployment, and device policies. Includes LDAP and Active Directory Integration
15% - Manage DEP, VPP, Apple School Manager in District Education Institutional environment, and integration with Jamf Pro
15% - MDM management including configuration profiles to manage up to 500 active Apple devices, while concentrating on current industry-led security protocols and standards
10% - Provides Tier3- level support
10% - Other duties as assigned including presenting, training team members, documentation, and knowledge base contribution

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or directly related field and one year of experience designing, configuring and installing hardware and software, training users and maintaining servers and data communication equipment.

OR

Associates Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or directly related field and 3 years of full time experience designing, configuring and installing hardware and software, training users and maintaining servers and data communication equipment.

OR

High School Diploma (GED) and 5 years of full time experience designing, configuring and installing hardware and software, training users and maintaining servers and data communication equipment.

Desired Qualifications:
A. Jamf Pro Certification 100-400
B. Experience in a corporate or institutional environment with the Jamf Pro management platform. Managing and integrating Apple School Manager, DEP, and VPP
C. Experience in a corporate or institutional environment evaluating testing, installing and updating macOS including proprietary applications, security patches, updates, application drivers and system security tools
D. Experience in a corporate or institutional environment creating, managing, developing, & securing enterprise ready macOS images, maintaining security updates and service packs for supported applications, and performing necessary QC and verification for installation on all supported Mac clients
E. Experience configuring and supporting security, including encryption, at the institutional as well as, end-point levels including the use of MDM
F. Experience in a Microsoft Active Directory Environment specifically managing MAC authentication (in a two-way trust)
G. Experience communicating with a team or teams, presenting process/procedures in meetings and documenting process/procedures for downstream support teams

Salary Range: $55,789 - $72,526/annually, DOE
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm, on site; some evenings and weekends may be required; Summer Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7am-6pm, on site
