Give educators visibility into the “why” behind your app catalog

App CATalog is here to help! Developed by Jamf Community Education Initiatives (CEI) in collaboration with students from Zimbabwe, App CATalog empowers educators to discover, understand and share the best apps for their classrooms. This free tool provides clear visibility into why apps were added to your Jamf School app catalog, explains how others in your district are using them, and connects teachers to lesson plans and classroom resources that make those apps meaningful.

Why App CATalog?

  • Understand why apps were added to their app catalog
  • Search for lesson-relevant apps using custom filters
  • Explore how other teachers are using those apps
  • Add comments, link to online resources and share classroom activities
  • Discover new app recommendations from peers

Try it in demo mode

Even if your school isn’t using Jamf yet, you can explore App CATalog in demo mode after downloading it from the App Store or Apple School Manager. Demo mode provides a sample set of apps, and if connected to your Jamf School instance, your posts, tags and shared resources become visible to others in your organization.

Tip: Press and hold the Jamf logo in the top-left corner to reveal additional Jamf Partner apps for testing. Everything in demo mode stays local to your iPad, so there’s no risk of changing data for others.

Built with students, for educators

In partnership with Jamf CEI, three students from the MATTER Career Readiness Institute in Zimbabwe contributed to the development of App CATalog. These students are now full-time, remote Jamf employees in Zimbabwe, joining a growing team of 10 others and six Jamf interns.

The CEI team continues to mentor and support students through real-world learning opportunities and placements at Jamf and partner organizations.
