Jamf Training Policies

Attendee Cancellations:
Classes and Exams offered by Jamf are to be paid in advance and are non-refundable. Cancellations within 10 business days of the class start date are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. In the event that an attendee must cancel due to extenuating circumstances prior to the 10-day period, Jamf may, at it's discretion, allow the attendee to reschedule and attend an alternate course. If this occurs please let us know as soon as possible.

Class Cancellations:
Classes may periodically be canceled by Jamf due to lack of attendance. In this instance, attendees who have already registered for a specific class can either choose to (1) receive a full refund or (2) select an alternate class of the same certification to attend. Jamf strives to notify customers of cancellations at least one month in advance.

Prerequisite Policy:
In an effort to maintain a standard and baseline level of competency for attendees in a given level of certification, Jamf reserves the right to require class attendees to have obtained previous certification in order to enroll in advanced Jamf courses.

Jamf documentation:
Sharing, copying, posting images or reproducing of the Jamf student workbook or associated materials in any way is prohibited.

Recording and streaming:
Audio/video recording or streaming is not allowed at any time during the class.

Jamf courses are conducted in a hands-on, lab-style environment designed to simulate real world situations. Exams are evaluated and scored by the instructors upon completion of the exam. Due to the nature of the product and the ability to in some cases achieve the stated exam objectives in multiple ways, scoring will be at the discretion of the instructor.

Jamf offers enrolled class attendees one (1) opportunity to take the associated certification exam at the end of that course. If an attendee is enrolled in a Certified Casper Technician Course (CCT), Certified Casper Administrator (CCA) and Certified JSS Administrator (CJA) they will be offered an opportunity to take the associated exam at the end of the class. Attendees must participate in the exam and receive a passing score, as determined by the instructor, to receive the associated certification for that course. Attendees are not required to participate in the exam if they do not wish to seek certification. The Certified Casper Expert (CCE) course does not have an associated exam, but rather throughout the course students can gain points that can equate to certification.

Jamf only offers a retake exam for CCT students. A CCT student is eligible for a re-test opportunity if they meet the following criteria:

  • Taken the full CCT Course
  • Taken the exam at the end of the course and did not obtain a passing score
  • Re-test within 120 days of first failed CCT exam
  • Re-test is the same major version of Casper e.g. Casper Suite version 9.x.x

If an attendee is unsuccessful in obtaining certification upon exam retake, the student will need to retake the course in order to be provided with another attempt at passing the exam.

Outside communication:
Jamf allows for the use of notes and online resources during examination; however, any communication with other people during the exam is strictly prohibited. If an exam participant is found to have violated this policy they will be asked to leave the exam and have forfeited their one (1) opportunity to take the exam or any certification that was previously awarded will be rescinded.

Accommodations for individuals with disabilities:
If a disability qualifies you for special accommodations for the exam in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or other applicable laws in your region or country, please notify your Jamf Account Manager or Sales representative 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the first day of class to allow for the required preparations to be made.

Jamf documentation:
Sharing, copying, posting images or reproducing of the Jamf exam or associated materials in any way is prohibited.

Length of Validity:
Jamf certification is awarded upon satisfactory completion of the associated exam (CCT, CCA, CJA) or attainment of enough points to equate that level of certification (CCE). Certification is awarded and valid for that specific major version of Casper Suite on which the course was delivered. For example, a certification earned on JSS 9.3 is valid only on JSS 9.x. It is no longer valid once JSS 10.x is released.

Jamf Nation Badge:
Jamf certification is displayed on Jamf Nation for an individual who has been awarded certification, as described above. The display of this certification will be available for the current, major Casper Suite version as well as the corresponding major version. For example, a CCE certification for 9.x will display on the associated Jamf Nation account as well as a CCA from 8.x.
