The Jamf 270 Course offers a core understanding of endpoint and network security for Mac and mobile devices with Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect. Our hands-on, scenario and example-based course environment is the optimal way to begin learning how to secure devices with Jamf.

What's included
- Four days (9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily) of virtual classroom interaction

- Jamf Certified Tech - Jamf Protect digital badge issued upon successful completion of the certification exam with a passing score (valid for three years)
Prerequisites
Optional, but highly encouraged:
- Jamf Certified Associate - Jamf Protect certification, based on successful completion of the Jamf 170 Course
- Completion of the free, self-paced modules in the Jamf Online Training Catalog titled “Get Started with Jamf Protect macOS Endpoint Security" and "Implement Jamf Protect's Security Cloud Capabilities"
Requirements
- A reliable internet connection—capable of receiving 10.0 Mbps and sending 5.0 Mbps
- A test (non-production) Mac with the latest version of macOS and a functioning camera
- A test (non-production) iPad with the latest version of iPadOS
- An additional computer (production) with the latest version of macOS or Windows 11 with a functioning camera for the course and certification exam
- Optional, but highly encouraged: An additional computer (production) or external monitor
- Always check the Student Setup Guide, sent one week before your course from training@jamf.com, for all specific course requirements
Non-production device
“Non-production” means that the mobile device and computer can be erased before and after the course, supervised, and used for full Jamf Pro enrollment testing in class. The non-production device and computer must not be currently enrolled in any MDM server or within the scope of an Automated Device Enrollment profile, and they must be unassigned or unaffiliated with Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager.
If you do not have an iPad, you can use any non-production iOS device that meets the conditions and customer requirements listed above. macOS virtual machines will not work as a substitute for a physical non-production computer.
