With today's release of iOS 9, a number of productivity, security, and performance enhancements for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch are now available. Alongside iOS 9, we are happy to announce the release of Casper Suite 9.8 that brings iOS 9 support for organizations to maintain their inventory, deployment workflows, and security policies during the upgrade process. In this blog post, we'll outline some of the new features you'll see in version 9.8 of the Casper Suite.
Better Apple deployments
Device Enrollment Program (DEP) and Volume Purchase Program (VPP) workflows are improved to make it easier for IT admins to take advantage of these user-friendly deployment programs and get the needed tools and resources into the hands of users faster. Combining Casper Suite 9.8 with DEP and VPP ensure a get experience for IT and users. Casper Suite 9.8 also allows for user-based scoping. This lets IT use their existing user groups from directory services to deploy policies, configurations, and apps.
New iOS 9 configuration profiles
This release also includes several improved security features:
- Apple Watch pairing and security
- Data security with AirDrop
- TouchID
- iCloud photo library
And IT can leverage profiles to more easily deploy and download in-house and App Store apps.
