WWDC14 – Apple's focus on the enterprise

A common theme throughout the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is Apple’s commitment to the Enterprise market. In Monday’s Keynote, Craig Federighi highlighted the huge iOS market share within Fortune 500 companies and enterprise-focused technologies like advanced Exchange support, security controls, and the Device Enrollment Program (DEP). Apple continues to be a leader in the app development ecosystem as shown by their new programming language, intuitive ways apps can interact, and improvements to the App Store.

With the unveiling of OS X Yosemite and iOS 8, users combining Mac, iPad, and iPhone are given a distinct advantage in the form of unprecedented continuity within the Apple platform. The new features will delight business users seeking to increase personal productivity. As the focus on the Apple ecosystem expands, JAMF Software is poised to provide a management solution that takes care of all Apple products and gives IT admins and end users a great experience to boot.

When Apple releases its next wave of operating systems this fall, JAMF Software has another opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to the platform. As with all Apple OS updates, a Casper Suite update will be available for customers to take advantage of iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite from day one. This means no delays in leveraging the best new technology from Apple and compliance gaps for IT admins.

Apple continues to lead the industry in personal computing technology, and JAMF Software is committed to helping businesses and schools get the most from the platform.
