COVID-19 forced schools to solve for a multitude of distance learning challenges, including how to deliver a high-stakes proctored assessment. Proctors required the ability to see and hear the student and their screens and be able to detect screenshots, all while securing the rest of the device. Schools were being told that iPad was not an acceptable option for proctored assessments. However, for many students, a school-provided iPad is their only access to technology.
