Building a Second Generation 1-to-1 Student Device Program

In this presentation, we will explore how we solicited feedback from Hopkins Public School District and how we deployed devices, applications, technical and pedagogical support for our staff and students.

In the 2018–19 school year, Hopkins Public School District set out to reestablish a one-to-one program in their elementary schools. After meeting with stakeholders, it was determined that an entire ecosystem of technology and support needed to be developed. In this presentation, we will explore how we solicited feedback from stakeholders and how we deployed devices, applications, technical and pedagogical support for our staff and students. Our “elementary ecosystem“ became the launching point of a redefinition of student work through creation and re-focusing on that creation: including mass personalization into every lesson delivered.
