How NC State University transitioned to and from crisis mode

As NC State emerges from the pandemic, we review "a year like no other", lessons learned, and future mindset.

NC State University spent the past year and a half providing device lending for all university students, staff and faculty through the NC State University Libraries lending program. Last year, we gave a presentation on our lending and remote management plan for the pandemic. As NC State emerges from the pandemic, we discuss:

  • A review of "a year like no other" and the actions taken to secure, provision and provide remote learning devices to the university
  • Maintaining control of inventory for off-site deployments with Jamf Pro's API and Google Suite offerings
  • Lessons learned from a year and a half of a fully remote workforce and pedagogy
  • Taking those lessons forward into the future with an automation first mindset
