At Jamf, we believe in the power of Apple devices in many applications. Because of their capabilities, Apple devices are found in our pockets, schools, hospitals, retail stores, airports… the list goes on and on. Our confidence in Apple fuels our drive to expand the Apple ecosystem beyond our own reach; this position is at the heart of Jamf Ventures, an investment fund managed by Jamf.

Building on our years-long partnership, Jamf Ventures invested in LifeSaver Mobile, a leading app to protect drivers from distractions, automatically detecting drives and blocking cell phone use without external hardware. As a result, users report “improved employee compliance, drops in fleet insurance claims and less distracted driving incidents,” according to Co-Founder and CEO of LifeSaver Mobile Ted Chen.

LifeSaver Mobile + Jamf

Starting in 2022, Jamf offered an integration with LifeSaver Mobile. Organizations could easily deploy LifeSaver Mobile to their fleet of phones, and managers could manage each app with a cloud-based fleet portal to administer the program. With Jamf, LifeSaver Mobile can’t be deleted off employee devices and screen access is blocked while driving — while still allowing for phone calls and navigation. This way, organizations can appreciate fewer distracted driving incidents without sacrificing productivity.

So why did Jamf Ventures invest in LifeSaver Mobile? Mobile devices are prolific, in our personal life and in the workplace. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 35% of fatal accidents on the job in 2023 were related to transportation, with the majority of them involving a motorized vehicle on the road. LifeSaver Mobile works to lower this statistic, making device use at work safer.

This investment into LifeSaver is a direct reflection of the hard work and mission-driven innovation Ted and his team have continued to produce. We couldn’t be more excited to work with them to achieve their mission of eliminating distracted driving through mobile solutions.
