Digital safety: real solutions for campus safety
Our "Digital Safety: Real Solutions for Keeping Campuses Safe" webinar explores how leading-edge technologies like Carousel, Singlewire and Jamf create safer learning environments.
Presenters: Breean Moreno, Senior Solution Partner Manager, Jamf; Ross Schulz, K-12 Account Executive, Carousel Digital; Paul Anello, MDM and Network Admin in a Northeast school district.
Viewers of this webinar will learn how to ensure quick, intuitive responses during crises, and hear how one school district uses this integration to keep everyone in their schools safe.
Hear about emergency messaging with Carousel, which offers powerful digital signage for screens of all sizes, originally built in 1997 by a school system for a school system.
Discover how Jamf, Singlewire and Carousel can transform Apple TV devices into powerful communication tools that enhance emergency response.
How emergency notifications work
In an emergency, an automated alert can interrupt an Apple TV at any given time and display an alert message on common area display panels and classrooms. This immediately informs students and staff of an emergency and offers specific instructions and other information.
This integration includes:
- SMS text messaging
- Push notifications
- Audio announcements on all networked speakers
- Phone strobes
- Panic buttons
Day-to-day security
In addition to emergency signage and notifications, Singlewire also offers day-to-day security with:
- Visitor screening using encrypted facial recognition
- A digital record of visitors and volunteers in event of a crisis
- QR codes to easily identify and verify visitors
Using this Jamf, Carousel and Singlewire integration, a Northeast school district automatically calls local authorities and locks all doors, only allowing emergency responders access.
Viewers will also learn about the four phases of emergency management, and how digital signage can support these phases.
