Known as the backbone of many enterprise and higher education institutions, ServiceNow is engrained in the processes and workflows that make large organizations successful. With extensive modularity and customization, ServiceNow is built to be a flexible framework that functions as an asset management, security and help desk management tool, among many other things. Due to how much it can be customized, no two instances are the same. Despite their differences, ServiceNow administrators have long asked for one feature:
Integration with Jamf Pro
This makes sense. ServiceNow often acts as the single pane of glass for those responsible for assets and service delivery across a wide organization. Between administrators and help desk employees, the number of individuals that touch ServiceNow and would benefit from the information in Jamf Pro — the standard in Apple Enterprise Management and mobile device management (MDM) — is astronomically high. Jamf’s rich inventory of hardware and software can be used for asset management and service management in ServiceNow.
Jamf is proud to announce that we have joined the ServiceNow® Service Graph Connector Program — a new designation within the Technology Partner Program — by integrating Jamf Pro with Service Graph. The new connector makes it easy and simple for customers to load data from Jamf to the ServiceNow Service Graph and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) which will lead to better IT and asset lifecycle management outcomes.
ServiceNow Service Graph is the next-generation system of record for digital products and services, and addresses the entire technology stack from infrastructure to the application layer. It includes ServiceNow’s CMDB, the repository for all infrastructure, relationships and configuration management information. With Service Graph, IT organizations are empowered with a thorough data foundation for managing the entire lifecycle of digital products and services. Additionally, it underpins all ServiceNow products by allowing customers to tie together technology components, people and processes into a service-oriented view. This connected approach enables customers to leverage their existing CMDB investments to rationalize portfolios, automate development, streamline cloud and security operations, manage risk and understand ROI for driving high-value business outcomes.
“ServiceNow is leading the future of work by creating great experiences for businesses,” said Jeff Hausman, vice president and general manager of IT Operations Management, Security, and CMDB, ServiceNow. “We are pleased to have Jamf integrate with ServiceNow’s Service Graph Connector to help IT and asset teams easily get the right data for full asset lifecycle management to drive better employee experience and better business ROI.”
“Device and asset management are foundational operations within an enterprise, and we are thrilled to work with ServiceNow to create the Service Graph Connector for Jamf,” said Sam Weiss, Solution Partner Manager at Jamf. “We’re excited about the reception thus far from our beta customers. Integrating Jamf Pro with ServiceNow validates that management can have the single pane of glass they continuously ask for without sacrificing the benefits of ecosystem management that Apple IT admins have come to expect from Jamf.”
Service Graph Connectors are available in the ServiceNow Paris release and work with Jamf Pro Cloud and on-premises solutions. To learn more about ServiceNow integrations with Jamf Pro, visit the ServiceNow Store or find it in the Jamf Marketplace.
