Podcast hosts discuss managing and securing your endpoints with Jamf solutions.

In this episode of Jamf After Dark, hosts Kat Garbis and Sean Rabbit, our dynamic duo, have a fireside chat with Jamf employees: Liz Benz, Chief Sales Officer, Beth Tschida, Chief Technology Officer, and Veronica Batista Bernard, Director, Product Marketing. Together, the group pontificates on what sets Jamf and our solutions apart from, well, everyone else.

While this blog won’t cover the entire podcast (you’ll just have to check the episode out to experience the full content for yourself), do touch upon three key points that answer the question “Why Jamf?”

Cheat code for security

Today’s modern threat landscape sees explosive growth in adopting Apple in the enterprise, a deluge of mobile devices — sanctioned and unsanctioned — being used everywhere, like work and at school, and threat actors setting their sights on Mac and mobile devices with evolved, sophisticated attacks targeting global users like never before.

And one cannot talk about security in the enterprise without discussing industry regulations. This is one of the crucial benefits that Jamf provides our customers: navigating the compliance minefield is no trivial task as Kate points out, “…compliance benchmarks doesn't really exist baked in and easy to find for Mac.

With Jamf as your wingman, your organization will handle it with relative ease, thanks to our tight-knit integration within our management and security solutions, paired with Jamf Compliance Editor that allows organizations across virtually any regulated industry to customize their risk tolerance based on industry-accepted compliance frameworks and easily import them into Jamf Pro for deployment.

Jamf Nation

Are you a member of Jamf Nation?

If you are, you already know that, regardless of whether you’re a Jamf customer, Jamf Nation is the largest community of Apple-centric IT and Security professionals worldwide. Admins from all walks of life gather to:

  • Share ideas
  • Ask for help
  • Network or make friends
  • Provide expertise
  • Talk all things management and security

…and so much more — far more than we can cover in one blog!

Jamf Nation transcends the borders of this product or that vendor, or skill set levels — simply put: it’s a giant, globally connected group that is always there, day or night, to collectively help whenever a fellow admin needs it.

Building for the future

AI is the buzzword of the century, as it seems to be everywhere and in everything from work-based tools to help us work smarter, not harder to breakfast cereals (ok, maybe it’s not quite there yet, but don’t be surprised when it’s there.)

One place where AI and machine learning (ML) are seeing incredible feats for our customers is in Jamf Protect. Our instance, MI:RIAM, leverages ML capability to analyze gathered telemetry data among other large data sets to quickly and efficiently assess device security postures and recommend optimal courses of action for admins to take to shore up security vulnerabilities to keep your fleets protected while maintaining user privacy.

Another implementation of AI recently announced at JNUC is Jamf’s AI assistant, which aids IT admins by providing guidance on how to accomplish administrative tasks, and make recommendations on optimal secure configurations to“demystify some of the complexity on security,” according to Beth.
