Highlights from Jamf’s participation in the 2021 Acronis #CyberFit Summit
Jamf was proud to serve as a platinum sponsor of this year’s Acronis #CyberFit Summit in Miami, Florida. This hybrid event, which represented the American leg of a world tour lasting into 2022, offered a forum for cyber protection and IT channel experts to address the needs of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and identify best practices and avenues for future growth. Coming just a few months after the debut of the Jamf integration for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud (muchmore on that below), the summit was a great environment for exploring our partnership and how it can empower MSPs to operate more efficiently and profitably.
The event was a resounding success, with nearly 500 in-person attendees and many more who participated virtually. Here are a few highlights of Jamf’s participation in the summit:
- Women in Tech Breakfast (sponsored by Jamf) – Amy O’Connor, partner marketing specialist at Jamf, was one of the speakers at the Women in Tech Breakfast, which also featured notable guests like author and former CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin. Even at 8 a.m. local time, this gathering drew a packed house, and the atmosphere was full of energy and mutual support.
- Tech Innovation Panel – Staff systems development engineer Bryson Tyrrell took part in a panel of experts discussing how automation and delivery drive customer outcomes. He also delivered a pre-recorded segment for the event, and both are available to watch on demand.
- Jamf Keynote – Inside channel account executive Ashley Duran and Sam Weiss, manager of our Solution Partner Program, shared the stage for a talk about “Five Misconceptions About Apple in the Enterprise.”
Many #CyberFit sessions are available now to watch on demand if you register for the summit, with more coming soon. Jamf employees enjoyed having productive conversations with Acronis staff and sharing feedback on how we can improve our solutions and partnership. It was the perfect opportunity to deepen the relationship that kicked off in July with the release of the Jamf integration for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud.
Jamf + Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud streamlines work for MSPs
Good news for MSPs in need of data protection management solutions: Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud now integrates with the Jamf platform, making it possible to remotely deploy this single-agent solution for backup, recovery, security and endpoint protection on macOS devices, using native Jamf tools and workflows. The first Apple integration developed by Acronis, it works for macOS devices running on both Intel and M1 processors, and it can be used alongside Jamf’s existing security solutions. Recognizing that MSPs often lose out on efficiency and productivity by juggling multiple endpoint protection solutions and management tools, this integration is designed to make it easy to effectively safeguard client data using a single interface.
The Jamf integration utilizes standard macOS enrollment and management methods, enabling MSPs to choose their target systems and automatically deploy Cyber Protect Cloud. IT admins can even manage multiple Jamf Pro accounts from within a single Acronis account.
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is designed to provide full-image and file-level backup and recovery, anti-ransomware, enhanced anti-malware and antivirus capabilities, along with a centralized approach to protection management. IT staff can use its powerful tools to identify, monitor, and secure attack surfaces that can attract cybercriminals, including the growing number of macOS devices in the enterprise. By partnering with Jamf, Acronis is taking steps to embrace the Apple ecosystem and provide corporate Mac users with assurance that their data is being protected.
We look forward to upcoming Acronis events, particularly the remainder of the #CyberFit Summit world tour in Schaffhausen, Switzerland; Dubai; and Singapore.
