Introducing the Jamf 270 Course (and revised Jamf 370 Course)
Jamf expands Apple security training with new 270 Course and updated 170/370 Courses to boost admin readiness.

Four years since the launch of the Jamf 370 Course, we are delighted to announce the expansion of our Apple endpoint and network security training for both Mac and Mobile with the release of the brand new Jamf 270 Course and curriculum updates to the Jamf 370 Course.
As the threat landscape continues to evolve, security requirements within organizations are more important than ever before. While it’s critical that admins and security professionals have the correct tools at their disposal to safeguard their Apple deployments, equally crucial is ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to wield these tools in the most effective manner.
With this in mind, we are delighted to announce the new Jamf 270 Course and revamped Jamf 370 Course – ensuring administrators at all levels have the confidence to secure their Apple fleet and help their users continue to be productive and secure.
The Jamf 270 Course
Following the hands-on, practical approach of our other Jamf Training classes, the Jamf 270 Course is a four-day remote instructor-led offering in which students will be guided through the following:
- Introduction to Apple platform security
- Jamf Pro security settings, enrollment and policies
- Jamf Protect configuration and deployment
- Threat monitoring and prevention
- Content filtering and usage controls
- Security models, baselines and benchmarks
Students will be able to utilize Jamf Protect – including both the Jamf Security Cloud and macOS Security Cloud portals – as well as Jamf Pro, to gain a holistic view of how Apple devices can be secured.
While there are no formal prerequisites for the Jamf 270 Course, we highly recommend completing the free, online Jamf 100 and Jamf 170 Courses before enrolling, as well as the Jamf 200 Course to learn more about device management with Jamf Pro.
Successful completion of the included certification exam will see the student awarded the Jamf Certified Tech – Jamf Protect digital badge – issued through Credly - valid for a period of 3 years. Sign-ups for the new Jamf 270 Course across a range of regions and time zones are live now and can be booked via your Jamf Account by utilizing a Jamf Training pass or individual purchase.
The Jamf 370 Course
The release of the Jamf 270 Course allowed us to revisit the content of the Jamf 370 Course to determine the best spot to continue learning about device management and security with Jamf. We are so excited that customers now have three sequential courses focusing specifically on Apple device security. The content in the Jamf 370 Course builds on many of the topics in the Jamf 270 Course, but extends deeper into many topics including:
- Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect advanced configuration and integration
- Advanced security models, baselines and benchmarks
- Advanced threat detection and remediation
- Custom threat intelligence and prevention
- Forensic analysis workflows
And as a result of the updated Jamf 370 Course, all Jamf Certified Admin – Jamf Protect certifications issued on or after 1st July 2025 will now be issued for a period of 3 years instead of the previous 2-year validity period.
Note: This will also apply to all recertification exams taken from this date.
The formal prerequisite for the Jamf 370 Course will continue to be the Jamf 200 Course as the content of this course relies on a strong, foundational knowledge of Jamf Pro in order to remediate threats. That said, we highly recommend taking the Jamf 270 Course first in order to give students a well-rounded view of security with the Apple platform.
Reminder: Jamf 170 Course
In case you missed it, the Jamf 170 Course was also recently updated to provide a perfect starting point on your journey with Jamf and Apple security.
We are thrilled to be bringing these updated and expanded security training to our customers around the world – we can’t wait to see you in class soon!
